EHS Program Manager will be a part of the team reporting to the Sr. Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety to answer any hierarchy questions in advance. The EHS Program Manager will enforce process and procedures, create and execute program plans with high quality, and provide timely communication of status of the EHS Management System to the central function team and the Omnicell executives. Also facilitate a cross-functional team supporting the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) function at Omnicell. Working in a fast-paced business and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have successful program management and team building experience in a rapid growth environment, proven experience managing small to multi-year complex programs from conception through launch, and a track record of meeting deadlines and overall business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the implementation and sustainability of our Global EHS management system, targets, objectives, and strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results
- Schedule and lead all ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 external and internal audits
- Serve as the main point of contact for Omnicell sites related to EHS requirements, programs, procedures, and processes
- Manage and direct sites in achieving EHS targets & objectives
- Develop and implement EHS training and awareness programs to meet regulatory requirements and support the Omnicell EHS policy
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and manage program information to meet ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety standards
- Influence others to make decisions and take actions on program objectives, recognize conflict and create an environment where differing needs are understood and actions are consistent with program objectives, and provide transparent visibility of program status to the executive staff
- Function as an administrator of electronic EHS information systems to facilitate document control, records management, data collection, and data integrity
- Identify and implement process improvement and process automation opportunities
- Implement the key corporate values of passionate transformer, relationships matter, intellectually curious, mission driven, entrepreneurial, and do the right thing
- Responsible for managing the worker’s compensation program. Entry of incidents into incident management module, work with insurance company and employees until the employee returns to work.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- BS in environmental, health, safety, natural sciences, or a related field with 5 years’ experience managing dynamic technical projects, preferably for innovative high reliability products
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal audit certification
- Strong business orientation with the ability to drive decisions on the tradeoffs between time-to-market, COGS, manufacturability, and serviceability
- Excellent understanding of key metrics that drive the “best practice” behavior of the cross-functional team
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with an ability to rapidly resolve cross-functional issues
- Ability to listen, communicate with, facilitate, negotiate, and influence all levels of the organization in all functional areas, including field and remote employees, in addition to vendors and business partners
- Strong written technical communication skills and the ability to create technical communications that are appropriate for the target audience
- Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and develop programs, procedures, and processes appropriate for the level of risk in the manufacturing and office facilities
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in driving resolution to issues, excellent presentation skills for program teams and executives
- Proven track record in process definition and improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, safety, natural sciences or related subject. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years’ experience managing dynamic technical projects, preferably for innovative high reliability products
- Hands-on experience with OSHA Injury Recording annual filing
- Proficient worker’s compensation experience
- Experience preparing and leading ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal and external audits
- Industrial organization and safe work practices, including 5S programs, incident management, corrective action management, hazard identification, root cause analysis, and risk analysis
- Strong hands-on user skills with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge in data collection and analytics for Environmental, Health, and Safety metrics reporting
- EHS or business-related professional certification
- Hands-on user experience using SmartSheet and/or Intelex
Work Environment
- 100% remote enabled from any US location.
- Willingness to travel to multiple manufacturing and office locations. 25% domestic and international travel is required
