Technical Trainer (Remote)
Omnicell has a dynamic opportunity for a remote Technical Trainer who will support the Omnicell / Long Island University Partnership by providing expert product-specific training in support of Omnicell’s Autonomous Pharmacy Platform.
Ideal candidate will live in the New York City area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom-based and virtual trainings to LIU students and/or Omnicell Employees from the LIU campus and potential off-site campuses (TBD).
- Deliver high-quality and effective training that adheres to training industry and Omnicell training standards. Provide special or customized training when required.
- Partner with the Instructional designers to design, develop, and deliver training that meets learner and employee needs. Participate in quality assurance audits to ensure that documentation and training tools are accurate and understandable from a user standpoint.
- Develop and deliver additional training classes to meet the needs of the business.
- Manage classroom and/or virtual training project plans to ensure readiness of classes for new product release updates for learners and employees.
- Maintain high levels of learner satisfaction to ensure effectiveness of training. Solicit training satisfaction feedback and implement program changes, as needed. Provide learner feedback and requests for product enhancement received during training to technical product management.
- Define and analyze learner or internal Omnicell challenges and recommend solutions to management.
- Demonstrate active departmental engagement and leadership in collaborating with management and other team members to develop and implement final solutions.
- Identify and build relationships with appropriate subject matter experts to acquire product knowledge and/or troubleshoot issues.
- Demonstrate good judgment about when to ask for help from senior team members or management about customer issues.
Required Knowledge/Skills
- Demonstrate excellent training facilitation skills.
- Detail-oriented, independent and able to adjust to changing priorities.
- Understanding of technical concepts and setup in support of healthcare systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or Pharmacy Technician Certification with 4 years’ experience as a Clinical-based technical trainer.
- Two years of experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician
- Two years of experience in one or more of the following areas: ability to troubleshoot hardware and software systems, hardware break-fix support and/or repair, hardware and software product implementations, or training on hardware/software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Healthcare software product implementation and/or support, healthcare IT management, or healthcare IT consulting.
- Experience with Omnicell Autonomous Pharmacy products.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Project management experience.
Work Conditions:
- Position is based in New York, NY
- Position may require 10% overnight travel.
- May require long periods of sitting or standing or staring at a computer screen.
