What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Chef position at OMO Catering?
The Banquet Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in oversight of all culinary operations, specifically off-site events. The
Banquet Chef ensures that the standards of customer service, safety, quality and performance are maintained in collaboration with the Owner and Executive Chef.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for assisting the Chef in preparation and production of all meals, food quality and presentation, in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards. Assist in overseeing team member productivity and performance, as well as the implementation of Company policies with regard to cost control procedures to help ensure profitability.
- Assist in creating and implementing menu selections for special themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in collaboration with the Owner and Executive Chef.
- Assists in monitoring food production, ordering, quality and consistency on a daily basis by providing detailed order guides and purchasing documentation.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation standards are attained.
- Assists in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling.
- Works in collaboration with the Owner in establishing standard operating practices and creative direction.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures established for OMO Catering.
- Responsible for overall training and leadership of all kitchen staff.
The person we are looking for should have a passion for food, energy to meet kitchen demands and a keen sense of smell and taste as well as produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
