The Travel Consultant will manage the travel arrangements for various university clients. In the role, you will book group travel using the Sabre reservations system. In addition, the Travel Consultant will book car, charter, and hotel reservations on the client’s behalf.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrange all aspects of athletic team travel, including group GDS air, hotel block, car, and charter bus services.
- Meet ticketing deadlines.
- Obtain travel approvals and provide trip planners.
- Collaborate with the team to establish business processes and meet team goals.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with university clients while representing Anthony Travel, a division of On Location.
You Have These
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Three or more years of related travel experience.
- Knowledge of Sabre or similar GDS.
- Group booking experience and knowledge.
- Car and hotel booking experience.
We’d Love If You Also Have These
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with attention to detail.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to produce accurate work while multi-tasking and meeting ticketing deadlines.
