Position Summary
 
The Assistant Manager, Strategy will aid the Strategy Manager with the planning and executing of the direct mail process at Oncourse. We are looking for an analytical, data-driven marketer who will be responsible for assisting the manager with strategic direction and day-to-day analysis and execution of campaigns for our largest customer acquisition channel. In this role, you will partner with Business Intelligence, Operations, Finance, and other core Marketing functions to develop, execute, and measure campaigns that are the biggest drivers of growth for Oncourse.
  
This role can be located in one of our offices in Mt. Laurel, NJ or Naperville, IL. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Some travel required up to 10%.
 
 
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
● Streamline processes under the supervision of the Strategy Manager
● Making sure OHS are on schedule/target for mail dates and communicating this to team.
● Assistant in development and execution of business rule document to communicate strategy to vendors and various teams across the business (i.e. creative, production, data & operations)
● Aids with tracking and processing of spend
● Support adoption of new project management tools
● Review and approve data and creative assets for accuracy
● Supports the printing/delivering of marketing materials
● Support adoption of new project management tools (ex. ASANA)
● Looking at every test and control across direct mail and voicing creative/production concerns as needed.
● Assists with analytics to understand response to various campaigns and compile weekly response reporting and communicating results.
● Filling in for team members upon absence as needed.
● Continuing the open communication with outside Vendors
● Yearly visits to vendor & other business locations learning the ins and outs of the direct mail process.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role
 
 
• 1-3 years of direct mail experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills with strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with marketing campaigns and communications.
• Understanding of key marketing metrics.
• Self-starter, creative problem solver, persuasive, and thorough, and strong team player.
• Ability to research data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlines.
 
 
Education
 
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
 
 
 
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
 
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites
• Experience with reporting suites (i.e. Tableau, Looker)
• Experience with database systems (i.e. Snowflake, Oracle)
