OVERVIEW:
An acclaimed restaurant in Boston seeks an experienced General Manager with a strong background in elevated, fine dining. The ideal candidate understands how to deliver high levels of service in a high volume atmosphere (James Beard, Michelin, and highly awarded restaurants preferred) and cares deeply about employee training and development. Also can handle high volume.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The GM is responsible for daily operations of the restaurant and for providing a high level of service that results in remarkable experiences and exceptional hospitality to guests. The General Manager supervises the entire staff–including hourly and salaried managers. The GM delegates assignments/duties, verifies compliance, and oversees the guest and employee experience. The GM works to accomplish departmental goals, strategies, and objectives, while assuring quality product, maximum guest satisfaction and maintaining budgetary profit margins.
The General Manager must maintain extensive knowledge of all food and beverage products and upholds service priorities including safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- GM experience in fine dining
- Excellent communication, organizational and people skills
- Open availability (which will include nights, weekends and holidays)
- Must present a neat, professional, and polished appearance.
