What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveyor/ GIS Data Collector - South Pasadena position at One Hundred Feet, Inc.?
You will be assisting the City of South Pasadena in an important location data project to digitally map residential locations. This will give their fire, police and medical first responders the ability to rapidly reach critical locations when necessary.
Job Description:
Surveyors will be using our app to collect GIS/GPS data and instructions. The role involves visiting various buildings in South Pasadena, perhaps interacting with concierges, receptionists and security and using our app to mark the exact location of critical infrastructure. You will be able to identify yourself as someone working on behalf of the city government. The project will last one to three months.
South Pasadena will use this data as part of the emergency dispatch system to help direct first responders when called upon.
About You:
- Have experience with, or a healthy curiosity about digital mapping/Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Highly observant and detail oriented
- Enjoy working outside
- Comfortable with mobile apps in either iOS or Android
- Self motivated, hard working, and strongly organized
- Great communication skills

- Have a service state of mind and genuinely love to help people
Salary: $20.00 /hour
