JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Supervises the commercial contract function. The commercial contract group is responsible for the administration of agreements including gas purchases, gathering, transportation, exchanges, and NAESBs related to commercial business.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Supervises the activities and work of contract administration employees
- Initiate, develop, and maintain complex contract documents; manage development of non-standard contracts
- Oversee development and use of agreements as required by Commercial
- Lead development and implementation of contract management policies and procedures
- Oversee analysis and resolution of problems. Ensure proper contractual analysis and administration of contracts and manage changes in contract management systems
- Initiate and manage dialogue between company personnel and outside contacts to resolve contractual issues; lead meetings with internal clients and Legal department to determine business requirements
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist managers and employees in contract-related activities; provide technical expertise
- Maintain contract administration data systems, including preparing, maintaining and circulating reports as requested by company management
- Leverage technology and create efficiencies for the contract administration group
- Develop and present contract management-related training and/or programs for employees
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, pre-law, accounting, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:
Work Experience
- Experience in supervising employees
- Experience initiating, developing, and maintaining complex contract documents
- Experience and/or training related to:
- Development of non-standard contracts
- Contract law
- Insurance procedures
- Pipeline regulatory requirements
- Interpersonal communications
- Experience reading and interpreting documents, rules, governmental regulations and guidelines, and other contract documents, policies and procedures, logs and reports
- Experience composing and preparing reports, logs, contracts and correspondence
- Experience supervising, advising, training and communicating effectively. Working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
- Experience preparing information, conducting meetings and making formal presentations to groups and individuals
- Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software

- Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings
