What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Global Reporting & Analytics position at OneSpan North America Inc.?

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for reporting and data systems that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish reporting priorities.
- Develop and maintain a model for revenue forecasting in support of Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance team to provide a predictable and automatic revenue forecast.
Reporting Systems Management:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools.
- Ensure that data is collected, processed, and reported accurately.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Drive the analysis of data to provide actionable insights to inform decision-making processes.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the organization's performance, specifically as it relates to each business unit. This include product level performance, marketing pipeline metrics and conversion to opportunities, sales productivity, pipeline performance, closed loop feedback, etc.
Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of professional data analysts.
- Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and evaluate team members' performance.
Technology and Tools:
- Evaluate and select appropriate data management and reporting tools and technologies.
- Ensure that the organization's systems are operating in accordance with industry best practices.
Data Governance:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to maintain data integrity and security.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their reporting and data needs.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve data utilization.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage the department's budget, optimizing resource allocation.
- Identify cost-effective solutions and strategies to improve reporting capabilities.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor the performance of systems and processes through the evaluation of data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of systems and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
- 8 experience of progressive experience in analytics and/or business intelligence roles
- 5 years of leadership experience, including international teams
- Proficient with Tableau (or similar data visualization tool) and SQL/AWS Redshift or Athena
- Technical requirements:
- Deep understanding of BI solutions
- Proficient in SQL, data analysis, advanced excel and report development
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and modeling techniques
- Experience with AWS & R preferred
- Experience reporting on SaaS metrics
- Working knowledge of GAAP & of Finance & Accounting processes
- Comprehensive understanding of data management, governance, BI, and Data engineering frameworks for business applications
- Dedicated to people leadership, career development, and coaching
- Strong project management abilities, capable of overseeing highly strategic projects
- Exceptional business acumen, communication, and presentation skills with direct experience engaging senior stakeholders
- The ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results
