Role Summary

The Estimator works closely with the Sales and Customer Service Teams to help analyze job requirements. The Estimator will also prepare proposals by estimating raw materials and production inputs to achieve desired levels or profitability.

Shift available: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Summary of Responsibilities

• Utilize internal and external sources of information to establish best materials and process for any Requests for Quotes (RFQ's)
• Calculate total costs for both proposed and actual work orders to include a proposal of quantities
• Analyze customer criteria and making determinations for the best design and product specifications
• Estimate pricing and developing price packages including alternative layouts and materials
• Work closely with the Director of Sales and Customer Service Manager to adapt on a consistent basis of production costs, capabilities, and Senior Management direction
• Work with Production teams to understand and set up optimal printing configurations to provide an accurate quote
• Communicates with Sales, Customer Service, and other business functions to advise clients of label construction based on provided specification and employ value engineering principals to offer clients maximum cost-benefit return.
• Identifies and projects uncertainties to ensure forecasts capture both overt and hidden costs
• Updates costs based on new information and project scope changes
• Demonstrate high understanding of market competition to align with strategic goals
• Work within approved budgets while maintaining conscious efforts to contribute to the profit and revenue of the company while conserving resources such as raw materials
• Understand label printing and applications to guide sales in the quote preparation process

Required Skills

• Knowledge in the pressure sensitive label, shrink sleeve or printing industry preferred
• Knowledge of printing processes and equipment preferred
• Knowledge of Abode Illustrator preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong mathematical skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate and work with co-workers effectively
• Ability to organize large workflows and handle high volumes of information

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a Estimator or related role
