Summary The employee in this position is responsible for sorting, processing and delivery of mail
Responsibilities
Sorts incoming mail within specific expectations
Distributes sorted documents to proper departments for processing
Records incoming accountable mail pieces received for receipt signature
Performs mail delivery tasks
Operates postal mailing equipment to process all outgoing mail
Operates Mail Inserter to fold and insert mailing projects
Sorts Company mail, specific bulletins, and correspondence.
Maintains corporate database of employee/department locations
Prints, folds, and inserts special projects as required.
Sorts all incoming checks and distributes them to the proper departments.
Manages stamp sales and postal service client requests at service window.
Maintains postal supplies
Ensures the delivery of packages in a timely manner
Adheres to the Standards of Excellence
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Account Manager
Monitors and listens to clients to understand inquiries and requests, to provide accurate information about the facilities and services.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of mail room environment preferred
Knowledge of postal equipment preferred
Familiarity with USPS general guidelines preferred
Strong Customer Service skills
Demonstrates mechanical aptitude to operate mail equipment.
Minimum of intermediate computer skills
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required
Ability to be personable, articulate, knowledgeable and professional.
Ability to learn skills quickly and thoroughly.
Ability to multi-task
Attention to detail
Ability to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling any complaints/situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
Strong initiative with an ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 50lbs infrequently

Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.) or mail processing equipment
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
