Summary: The main responsibilities of the Frac Electronic Technician III is to perform all maintenance on equipment, learns paperwork and computer processes and also provides guidance and supervision to lower level electronic technicians
Additional responsibilities
- Perform and complete all essential functions required of Level 3 Electronics Technicians
- Mentor and coach entry and lower electronics technicians
- Knowledge of SAP
- Create and update work orders
- Knowledge of All Related Tools and Software
- Ability to use Engine/Transmission Diagnostic Software
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic and pneumatic problems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex engine/transmission electronics
- Ability to tune and edit control software settings
- Performs Installations and upgrades
- Ability to perform an instrumentation PM and emergency repairs when needed
- Ability to repair, troubleshoot and maintain 12 and 24 Volt DC systems
- Able to Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
- Knowledge of all cable types used
- Ability to build new cables
- Ability to troubleshoot, replace and calibrate all sensors
- Knowledge of specific hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Ability to troubleshoot and replace hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Knowledge of specific control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot control systems problems
- Ability to replace control system components
- Ability to read control system schematics
- Knowledge of specific engine/transmission electronics
- Ability to assist with troubleshooting and repair of engine/transmission electronics
- Ability to read engine/transmission electronics schematics
- Ability to tune and edit control software settings
- Ability to assist with control system upgrades
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Associates preferred
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience as an oilfield electronic technician
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English
- Must possess a vast knowledge of sensors used in oilfield electronics
- Must meet Competency Task List requirements for job role and complete Equipment Maintenance Task List
- Performs work on his/her own as well as provides assistance to other employees as directed
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job
- Must have own basic tools
