Pay Scale: $80,000 to $115,000 annually

Person-Centered Intelligence Solution (P-CIS), Opeeka’s principal technology, is a patient outcomes platform that connects to care organizations’ existing technology to extend its capability to support value-based care. Vacation

Full-time employees are eligible to earn and accrue vacation upon the first day of work. All full-time employees are eligible to accrue at least 80 hours of paid vacation time annually, and annual vacation time increases based on tenure.

Sick Time

All employees will be granted 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave in a lump sum at the time of hire and subsequently, at the beginning of each year on January 1st. Employees may begin to use paid sick leave on their 90th day of employment (or sooner, if applicable law requires). Employees can use up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave per year.

Holiday Pay

Upon hire, all employees will receive holiday pay for the Company observed holidays, which includes all Federal Holidays and the day after Thanksgiving.

Medical Insurance Benefits

Opeeka provides the option of a comprehensive medical insurance plan for eligible full-time employees and their dependents. Employees are eligible to enroll in the medical program on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. The Company will pay a portion of the medical insurance premium, up to $550 per employee and up to $450 for covered dependent(s). Medical insurance benefits are available to employees, the employee’s spouse or registered domestic partner, and the employee’s legal dependents.

Dental and Vision Benefits

Eligible full-time employees may also enroll in an employee only, an employee plus children or a family contract on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Retirement Plan

Opeeka provides all employees who complete 90 days of employment with a SIMPLE IRA plan which is an excellent means of long-term savings for your retirement. For eligible employees, the Company will contribute a dollar-for-dollar contribution match, up to 3% of the employee’s annual compensation.

Telecommuting

Opeeka recognizes that work location flexibility is an important consideration for individuals seeking a new opportunity. We take several considerations into account when evaluating telecommuting requests, and in several cases have been able to accommodate telecommuting agreements with multiple team members. Opeeka’s main office is located in Folsom California, right next to Lake Natoma, walking and bike trails, and several restaurant options within walking distance.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst plays an integral role in designing, developing, and maintaining data reporting products offered in P-CIS, including interactive dashboards visualizing population health, outcomes, data quality, and predictive models. The position works collaboratively with Opeeka’s software development team(s), customer support team, and Opeeka customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Configure standard and custom reports and dashboards embedded within Opeeka software solutions.
  • Work with team leaders and members to solve client analytics problems and document results and methodologies.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards that effectively communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Process, cleanse, and assess quality of data.
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Support ongoing product development by identifying data discrepancies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Support internal data requests as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the field of data analysis, relational databases, and report design.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Financial Responsibilities:

Includes tracking and monitoring actual labor hours associated with projects to ensure labor costs stay within approved project budget.

  • Ability to understand a target audience and design reports and dashboards that effectively communicate an intended message; selecting appropriate visual elements, creating intuitive navigation, and ensuring the visualizations align with the objectives of the analysis.

  • Experience working with data and relational databases to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.

  • Proficiency in storytelling through data preferred; presenting insights in a compelling way that helps stakeholders understand and make informed decisions based on the data presented.

Knowledge

  • An understanding of basic statistical concepts, such as measures of central tendency, variance, correlation, and regression analysis.
  • An understanding of data analysis concepts, including data types, data manipulation, statistical analysis, data cleansing, and data quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of data visualization, such as data encoding, visual perception, chart selection, and best practices for presenting data visually.
  • Awareness of data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and ethical considerations related to data handling and visualization.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 years relevant experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in data analytics or outcomes and evaluation methods.
  • 2 years experience developing dashboards using visualization software like PowerBI or Sisense Fusion
  • 2 years experience using SQL to query, manipulate, and transform data.
  • 2 years experience using Python for data analytics.
  • Previous experience working with healthcare data preferred.
