We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care services. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients while assisting them with daily activities.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any adverse reactions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Document medical information accurately, including changes in client health status and medication administration.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to understand client needs and respond appropriately.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transitions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual client requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space, ensuring a safe environment.
- Support clients with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and training as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home community care or hospice care is preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems and procedures is essential.
- Strong understanding of physiology related to personal care needs.
