Job Summary:
Our client is a full-service concrete and asphalt contractor specializing in maintenance and repairs for parking structures, facades, traffic coatings, and epoxy applications. With a one-stop-shop approach, they offer cost-effective, high-quality solutions for all types of facilities and structures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, leveling, and setting up forms for concrete pouring.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power equipment.
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using trowels or other tools.
- Operate power tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws.
- Assist in the installation of reinforcing materials like rebar.
- Perform structural, preventative, and aesthetic concrete repairs to parking structures and building facades.
- Replace sealants, apply deck coatings, and perform waterproofing tasks.
- Execute partial and full-depth repairs, swing stage facade repairs, and masonry restoration.
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Concrete Laborer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
- High school degree or equivalent experience.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour training preferred.
- Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with facade and parking structure repairs is a bonus but not required.
Skills:
- Experience in concrete labor or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry techniques and practices.
- Competence in operating heavy equipment such as mixers and power tools.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
