Job Scope
Opla is currently looking to add a Sales Manager/Technical Sales Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will report to the VP Engineering and is responsible for presenting, promoting, and selling the products and services of Opla Energy Services, as well as maintenance of current customer accounts, and acquisition of new accounts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Opla.
- Research and analyze industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities, strategic areas of interest, and enhancement of opportunities to current offerings.
- Present, promote and sell Opla Energy’s products and services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers. Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Active role in assisting sales group with client meetings, presentations, and technical support. Prepare sales proposals with a high attention to detail and participate in RFP/RFQ processes.
- Target business growth within current and potential accounts
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to demonstrate the resources and expertise of Opla Energy to clients during the sales process and to instill confidence in the value and competence of the operations team after the sale during implementation of services.
- Maintain online CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools daily.
- Business Performance Reviews and Key Performance Indicator reviews as required.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
- Understand the core needs of each client type and build an effective value proposition.
- Embrace and promote the Core Values of Opla Energy through every business interaction.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 5 years of direct sales experience at a corporate level in the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of the MPD and/or Drilling industry.
- Previous experience in sales pipeline management, proficient use of CRM systems and robust forecasting.
- Proficient use of standard Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- A proven track record of establishing contacts and credibility with key buyers and decision-makers.
- Effective formal presentation skills towards one-on-one, small and large group settings
- Willing to travel and occasional travel to remote locations or outside of country may be required.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal & leadership skills.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work well within a team.
- Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize workloads.
