We are looking for a strong General Manager-Parts Operations to provide leadership, direction and support to assigned function to ensure delivery of annual business goals.  Daily oversight of parts operations while consistently working with internal and external customers to ensure exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develops, communicates, and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as Parts Department efficiencies.
  • Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
  • Ensures implementation and utilization of standardized KPI’s and reporting across all teams.
  • Provides regular operation performance reports to senior management.
  • Controls and maintains the movement of inventories in all parts warehouses within the Mi-Jack Global Product Support group.
  • Evaluates and approves inventory forecasts for all warehouse locations.
  • Responsible for increasing parts turns for all parts warehouses, including but not limited to the main facility and regional service centers.
  • Works with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure correct parts inventory mix and stocking levels.
  • Supports in the creation of national and regional parts sales campaigns.
  • Sets part category pricing guidelines for all customer segments.
  • Participates in the management of relationships with suppliers and transportation providers.
  • Addresses issues proactively and identify improvement opportunities, reducing costs and improving overall customer satisfaction.
  • Actively manages inventory cycle counts, investigates, and approves any required adjustments and makes any policy/procedure recommendations to correct future inventory corrections.
  • Oversees online part sales platform operations and sets performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries; Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.
  • Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).
  • Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.
  • Actively work to hire, develop, counsel, and build a cohesive employee team that exemplifies our values and operates to support Lanco’s mission statement.
  • Special projects or work as assigned.

Experience/Training/Education:

 Required:       5-10 Yeas management experience.  Experience in Industrial Equipment industry preferred with an emphasis on parts warehousing, marketing, and sales management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must possess supervisory skills.
  • Requires knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, cycle counting, packaging, and logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of safety practices and policies including OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong sense of urgency; Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to lead, supervise and train others.
  • Work cooperatively with subordinates, members of management, vendors, and other employees. 
  • Must have a good understand of Microsoft Office applications experience with one or more ERP systems (ideally Epicor).  Must have experience with an Inventory Forecasting software (Smart Forecast).

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This is primarily an office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator and to operate standard office equipment.  Must be able to speak and communicate clearly.  The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports, records, and other materials that typically weigh less than 30 pounds.
