We are seeking a caring and dedicated CNA to join our team at Optime Staffing Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to residents and assisting them with their daily activities working under the supervision of licensed nurses and play a key role in promoting the physical and emotional comfort of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Mobility: Help residents with mobility, including transferring them in and out of beds or wheelchairs and assisting with walking and exercise.
Nutrition: Assist with feeding residents and ensure they receive the proper diet and nutrition as prescribed.
Medication: Administer medications to residents as directed by the nursing staff and maintain accurate medication records.
Vital Signs: Monitor and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and changes in residents' conditions.
Comfort and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to residents, engage in conversation, and address their emotional and psychosocial needs.
Safety: Ensure the safety of residents by following safety protocols, using proper lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Communication: Report any changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the nursing staff and other relevant healthcare professionals.
Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan for each resident.
Resident Advocacy: Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the facility.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with best practices in nursing and attend training to maintain CNA certification.
