Job Overview
As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll be responsible for being a critical link in a robust supply chain to support excellent customer service while supporting key order-to-cash and procure-to-pay functions in our growing Operations Team. This is a full-time role based in our Plano, TX facility.
How you contribute to our success
- Support our sales team by managing end-to-end sales order execution for selected customer accounts
- Manage sales order dates, issuance of pick tickets, confirmation & tracking of shipments and invoice creation
- Help source cost effective delivery options for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipping with our 3rd party logistics providers
- Manage the scheduling of inbound and outbound delivery appointments
- Provide accurate and timely statuses for shipments ensuring our ERP system is updated with the latest dates and BOL/POD documents
- Process vendor bills for freight and collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to identify/implement process improvements and cost savings in the transportation function
- Analyze historical demand & sales forecast data to generate a supply plan for specified products
- Manage continuous improvement initiatives related to the supply chain operations function
- Obtain purchase order confirmations and maintain accurate dates and statuses in our ERP system
- Maintain related master data in our ERP system
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics required
- Experience working in order management/ERP systems (Oracle-NetSuite) preferred
- Intermediate-level MS Excel proficiency (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a continuous improvement, entrepreneurial, and customer-centric mindset
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
