This position would require that you work on site in our office located in Norcross, GA.
ESSENTIAL Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Positive Attitude
- Maintain on-going minimum satisfactory performance goals for assigned area, client or portfolio in accordance with company guidelines.
- 60% of work involves making outbound and receiving inbound and manual efforts to collect past due accounts depending on assigned client and / or portfolio.
- 20% perform basic skip-tracing techniques to locate customers.
- 5% answer basic questions for customers.
- 15% proper documentation and maintenance of accounts.
- Use of effective negotiation, urgency and solution skills to resolve delinquent accounts in assigned area / client / or portfolio.
- Maintain proper knowledge and application of state, federal and company compliance standards.
- Guide customers, through the use of solution and customer service skills to resolve their delinquent account.
- Educate customers as to the impacts and repercussions of their account delinquency to their credit bureau and future credit worthiness and offer resolutions to the customer.
- Ability to effectively cope with stressful situations in a highly productive and structured environment.
- Other duties as assigned/needed.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- 2 years of sales/collections experience
- Ability to work a set schedule.
- Basic telephone etiquette and skills.
- Good written and verbal communications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Telemarketing or customer service experience.
- Must possess the ability to engage the following traits when necessary: good listening, patience, a level of assertiveness, persistence, problem solving and focus on quality.
- Ability to create a sense of urgency when dealing with customers over the phone.
- Sound decision-making abilities.
- Negotiation skills.
- Basic understanding of Collection Laws: FDCPA, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other State or Federal Laws as they are deemed applicable to the Company for compliance and regulatory reasons.
