Crude Trucking Scheduler
A key Optimus client needs a Crude Trucking Scheduler to support the W Texas Crude Oil Marketing Department by supporting the flow of hydrocarbons from the well to final markets. Duties include nominations, truck scheduling, pipeline scheduling, and invoice review to achieve the goal of flow assurance and profit maximization. Must be able to interact internally with marketing personnel, field operations, crude settlements, and accounting as well as externally with counterparties’ marketing, operations, and accounting personnel. The client is in office 4 days a week in the Galleria area.
Job Responsibilities
- Track incoming production and qualities from counterparties and communicate variances to marketers.
- Manage nominations of crude oil on multiple pipeline transportation systems.
- Manage truck dispatch orders and help to resolve issues in the field.
- Track and manage pipeline imbalances.
- Track and manage minimum volume commitments.
- Assist with the management of midstream and transport contracts.
- Develop contacts with production personnel, pipeline representatives, and external counterparties to facilitate the above activities.
- Review and process invoices received for transportation services.
- Monitor daily pricing and communicate changes to marketing.
- Work closely with and support the commercial team throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Assist in establishing and running routine processes for daily and monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis.
- Ability to help execute ad hoc business development and analysis projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 2 years of crude oil and gas industry experience.
- Ability to work independently in fast paced environment.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with WolfePak system for crude oil settlements activities is a plus.
- Experience scheduling crude oil scheduling via truck and pipelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focused when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work weekends or after hours, if required.
- Ability to travel for counterparty and site visits as needed, estimated 5% of the time.
