Experience of the right candidate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Agile coaching, Scrum Master, or RTE roles, with hands-on experience in Agile, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
- Certifications: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification is required. Additional certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Kanban, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles across multiple frameworks (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience in facilitating large-scale Agile transformations and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, remove impediments, and manage conflict.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or other Agile lifecycle management tools.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART): Lead the ART ceremonies including Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and System Demos to ensure smooth execution.
- Coach and Mentor Teams: Guide teams in adopting Agile practices (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe), helping them improve delivery and overcome challenges.
- Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and roadblocks across teams within the train.
- Support Program Increment Planning: Coordinate and facilitate PI planning events, ensuring alignment with business objectives, resources, and timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives at both the team and train level, helping teams identify areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Ensure SAFe Compliance: Ensure the train operates within the SAFe framework, maintaining proper processes, roles, and ceremonies.
- Foster Collaboration: Promote communication and collaboration across teams, ARTs, and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
- Track and Report Metrics: Provide transparency and insights into ART progress through appropriate metrics, such as burn-down charts, velocity, and PI objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with Product Owners, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that expectations are met and aligned with delivery goals.
