About The Opportunity
In a team environment, provide direction to a designated team while providing a safe operation. Communicate any issues involving quality, production or safety to the Supervisor.Primary Responsibility:
- Welding Line Leads monitor production flow on their weld line, troubleshoot issues and recommend line improvements
- Will lead the weld line in all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Production
- Line Lead will direct/lead 7-9 welders on the weld line
- A working leader that can perform all the tasks asked of his or her team.
- Expected to role model behaviors according to the handbook. Leaders are expected to arrive 30minutes prior to the start of the shift. They are further expected to be on time going/ returning frombreaks and lunch.
- We as leaders model the behaviors we want!
- Should spend 80% of the workday, coaching, inspecting, verifying material, managing the pace of theline, making adjustments, and celebrating the wins. The remaining 20% of the workday should bespent on the line welding and grinding along with the team.
- Reports to the Supervisor. All communication is expected to go through the Supervisor.
- Ensure a safe work area for the team. They are expected to model safe behaviors and coach their teammembers as needed.
Experience Required:
- 3-5 years Welding experience
