About the Role
Orchard is looking for a Closing Manager to oversee the closing and disclosures teams in its mortgage business. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and retaining best in class operations teams. You will be managing these teams in disclosing and closing loans fast and efficiently, while maintaining exceptional communication with internal and external partners and borrowers. You will also be responsible for employee engagement initiatives and results.
This is a full time role that will report into the Director of Mortgage Operations and be based out of our growing Austin, TX office with the option to be remote in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, MD, NC, NV, WA, MI, TX.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Oversee daily pipeline management to meet mortgage funding goals and metrics
- Deliver an exceptional customer service while ensuring all internal compliance policies, investor guidelines, and mortgage regulations are being maintained
- Update workflows, procedures, and policies to create a seamless operation and address challenges with strategic solutions as they arise
- Resolve any issues by partnering with internal partners to ensure efficient and successful loan closures
- Generate and manage disclosures and closing reports to track pipelines and performance
- Assist, mentor, and motivate team members to meet or exceed daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals, KPIs and SLAs
- Foster a team environment that is in line with Orchard values and culture
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders/teams and the Director of Mortgage Operations to continuously iterate on and improve processes
- Track, analyze, and communicate team and individual performance data
- Manage our growing team of closing coordinators, closers, and disclosures
- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
- 2 years of closing management experience
- 3 years of experience in high volume purchase mortgage loan closing
- At least 5 years of mortgage experience with exceptional closing skills and at a minimum of 3-5 years of management
- Funding experience with wet and dry states
- Ability to manage and monitor the performance of others and provide quality coaching to improve performance
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of mortgage systems
- Superior customer services skills
- Experience with outsourcing fulfillment closing services
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in relating to internal and external clients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high production environment
