Job Title: Logistics Coordinator II
Hybrid Position - 2 days in office and 3 days' work from home
Must have:
* Technical diploma or relevant degree/ diploma.
* 5 to 7 years of experience on management and coordination of complex shipping schemes.
* Coordination of more complex or diversified shipping schemes.
Job Purpose:
* Executes and follows up complex Shipping operation/coordination
* Internally: Project Procurement Managers, Administration, Expediting, Project team, Construction, Finance, Engineering, Buyers
* Externally: Forwarding Agent, Marine warranty surveyor, Customs, Shipping Agencies, Vendors (in some Regions only in critical circumstances), Port Authorities
Main Accountabilities:
* Provides transport cost and man-hours estimation and reports, monitors budget vs. project execution
* Defines methods and means of Transportation in agreement with Project Procurement Manager
* Plans and revises shipping strategy
* Plans and supervises handling operations for "special items"
* Prepares and issues specifications, Invitation to Bid, Negotiation documents, and Service Orders
* Defines and assigns to Forwarding Agents any shipments out of Service Orders
* Contacts suppliers and coordinates pick-up operations, based on the loading/shipping plan for each shipment
* Issues or coordinates the issue of import-export documentation, together with the Administration Department when necessary
* Issues and updates the Shipping Notice to the various parties involved and sends a separate set of shipping documents to the field
* Improves and/or modifies standard procedures
