Position Description
As a Human Resources Manager, you will support the leadership team to successfully implement local initiatives and execute regional and corporate HR and Safety programs for a 150 employee organization. You will oversee and manage the areas of performance management, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, total rewards, organizational development, and recruitment. This role is a good blend of HR Business Partner and day-to-day tactical tasks as well. Some essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations, and OAG reporting.
- Support annual performance management process and assists with ongoing performance management communications throughout the year.
- Manage Payroll processes.
- Administer workers compensation claims, OTJ injuries, STD, FMLA etc.
- Support Employee engagement activities.
- Employee and labor relations (investigations, conflict resolution).
- Facilitate the hiring processes from job posting to onboarding.
- Work on special projects relating to the development/revision of HR programs and procedures.
- Deliver training related to Human Resources programs.
- Support HR Manager by contributing to ongoing process improvements in the HR department.
- Team player and someone who can take initiative. As the HR Manager, it will be expected of you to help build-up and influence the company culture in a positive way. Although you will be the tip of the spear in this regard, you are also someone who is not afraid to lean on your peers within the organization and are receptive to the ideas and suggestions of others.
- Strong process and reporting background (i.e., from the Military) is strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP is preferred, but not a requirement.
