As an Area Manager with us, you will lead and motivate multiple branch sales and service teams through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your focus will be on identifying creative sales opportunities to drive new sales revenue sources for the multiple branches you oversee. You will view the success and failure of current service goals and meet with branch management to ensure the proper procedures are in place and being followed. Collaboration and teamwork with the Region Staff and Branch Management team are critical to success.

Responsibilities

Successful Area Managers will possess the following abilities and will be responsible for:

  • Directing the effective activity of multi-unit branch teams to achieve the assigned sales and service performance goals
  • Training of the sales teams and service specialists on how to utilize all sales tools and how to identify sales opportunities
  • Working in the field with the sales teams to evaluate and improve their sales skills and conducting appropriate audits to ensure all tools are being utilized and procedures are being followed
  • Provide guidance on an ongoing basis to ensure the Branches are working to add, satisfy and retain customers.
  • Use various Management Reports (MPR, P&L, Customer Base Analysis Report, Daily Time sheets, GPS reports, etc.) to keep track of all service-related functions, he / she needs to perform periodic in-Branch audits on a regular basis
  • Assisting with the recruiting, selecting and retaining of the sales and service staff
  • Exceptional people development skills, with a proven track record of sales leadership development of others, to include field evaluations, addressing coaching opportunities and training
  • Inspirational leadership skills, with development of a motivated, multi-unit team dedicated to improving of customer service and retention through continual training, and follow through on our commitment
  • Dynamic leadership skills, with a background of successful revenue generation and growth, through motivation and holding teams accountable for results, and daily check in of activities
  • Operational leadership skills, with experience in managing budgets and strategically investing in growth with balancing expense margins

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)
  • Ability to work in the field independently and interact with our great clients

 

What will my work environment be like?

 

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
