Authorization Specialist/Workers Compensation Authorizations

We are looking for exceptional candidates to join our Orlin & Cohen team as a Workers Compensation Authorizations Representative and MRI Injection Authorization Representative.

Ideally candidates have knowledge of workers compensation rules and regulations as well as healthcare and insurance experience.

*Full-Time Opportunity! Monday - Friday (8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, or 10am-6:30pm)

*Previous WC Authorizations experience is preferred - for Workers Comp Role

*Previous insurance and authorization experience REQUIRED - MRI Injection Authorization Role

Workers Compensation Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing past due accounts and related documentation.
• Contacting patients, guarantors, and or third-party payers to secure payments and provide resolution of assigned accounts.
• Reviewing and follow-up on workers comp denials and delays.
• Appealing incorrect denials and incorrect payments.
• Responding to carrier verification requests in a timely manner.
• Tracking and reporting all account information.
• Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Candidate Attributes:

• Organizational skills: You have exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills that will aid in account follow-up.

Required experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum of one year medical billing/collections or insurance/workers comp experience required.
• Knowledge of workers compensation rules and laws.
• Excellent oral, written, computer and customer service skills.

MRI Injection Authorization Representative

Obtain authorizations for MRI Injections.

Candidate responsibilities include:

· Initiates request for MRI Injection Authorization from commercial carriers.

· Updates and records authorization related information in our system.

· Perform clinical reviews of authorization requests.

· Provides accurate and complete documentation to approve MRI Injections requests.

· Collaborate with applicable staff to coordinate patient care.

· Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulation.

• Organizational skills: You have exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills that will aid in account follow-up.

Required experience and Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

· Minimum of one year healthcare or insurance office experience required.

· Prior Authorization experience preferred

· Excellent oral, written, computer and customer service skills.
