Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold, Avantage, Forto, and BEO. Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world. Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.
Ornua Foods North America is based in Evanston, Illinois and we market and sell Kerrygold butter and cheese in the North American market. We are the number two butter brand in the US and number one in the specialty cheese market.

Job Summary
Initially leading a cross functional team to design best in class demand planning processes and ways of working, coupled with the selection and implementation of short-term tools to support such ahead of the Groupwide implement of Infor Demand .
Ongoing thereafter, to create baseline demand forecasts, per SKU, to then work with Sales and Marketing to enrich and align on a consensus demand plan.
Key Areas of Responsibility Establishing and maintaining processes and ways of working to deliver a robust US demand forecast, by SKU three years ahead Cleanse historical sales data for promotional impacts and anomalies (e.g. competitor activity) and/or supply issues (e.g. out of stock) Select algorithms for each product or product group to ensure most appropriate. Then generate a statistical baseline forecast. Create an enriched statistical baseline forecast with input from Promotional Planning; Sales Contracts; Customer forecasts; Product Portfolio plans; etc. Liaise with Sales and Marketing to agree a consensus demand plan Recommend enriched demand plan for Sales Management approval Organizing and chairing monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings Provide inputs into 5 Year strategic planning as required
Key Requirements
10 years Demand Planning experience, dairy or short shelf-life preferred
Strong working knowledge of using statistical Forecasting Tools required - experience with Infor Demand a bonus
CPG experience required, particularly working with Costco, Walmart, Public and Kroger
Good stakeholder management – both internally and externally
Proficient with MS Excel
Good general business acumen
