Description
The Business Office Assistant Performs a variety of administrative functions and patient care activities such as checking-in/out patients, preparing the office, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance and assisting clinical staff to provide support for the efficient delivery of patient care. The Business Office Assistant is responsible for chart activity maintenance to include: review for accuracy, prepare chart for next day services, review for completeness. The Business Office Assistant will collect co-pays; post payments accurately, prepare daily cashiers report and balance sheets; prepare/review daily bank deposits and reports.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years in a medical office
- Knowledge of Epic preferred
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detailed oriented
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
- Must be able to multitask
