This position reports to Miguel Aparicio, Human Resources Manager and will work closely with HR Generalist and Safety Supervisor. The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Weekends overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The person in this position:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Ensures compliance with affirmative action responsibilities for the Osceola Foods Facility
- Provides straight-forward policy guidance to employees and managers in the absence of salaried staff.
- Administrates Oracle entries for salaried, office, and production changes.
- Maintains Human Resources computer system files for all Osceola Foods Team Members.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess unquestionable ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to present effectively to groups.
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to learn computer programs such as Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with a PC and Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Plant production experience.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and translate Spanish (or Karenni, Karen, Burmese)
