What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Oshkosh ReStore?
Summary: The ReStore Assistant Manager of Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh (working in partnership with and Habitat for Humanity serving Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara counties) is responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the ReStore Regional Manager with focus on the donation process and sales floor operations. This role will also assist with the hiring, training and development of store associates and volunteers as delegated by the ReStore Regional Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the ReStore Regional Manager
- Able to perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the ReStore Regional Manager
- Assist the ReStore Regional Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash
- Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelines
- Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates and supervisors
- Complete orientation, training and onboarding of new volunteer and Associates
- Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards to include recovery
- When the ReStore Regional Manager is not on the premises, direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates
- Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
- Maintain accurate inventory of purchased products and current stock on sales floor
- Preform cashiering activities to provide coverage during breaks, lunches and busy times
- Promotional effectiveness of store displays
- Assist in the management of sales effectiveness
- Coordinate appropriate signage utilized in the store
- Create and maintain reports for committee and board meetings monthly
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining the checkout area to maximize impulse sales
- Maintain sales per square foot reports
- Maintain all inventory levels on sales floor and back stock
Schedule:
Part Time (25-30 hours per week)
Various days/week

Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work in a high energy team environment

- Strong interpersonal skills with a pleasant, professional and caring personality

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask with changing priorities
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Must be 18 years’ old
