The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the coordination of the department's information and analytical needs, and preparing reports on Supply Chain KPIs including backorder and inventory levels, on-time delivery to our customers, and freight spend. Moreover, this function will be responsible for running/monitoring the excess and obsolescence process. The development of the global supply chain is highly prioritized on the global operation's agenda, where your success in this role will leave its footprint on ensuring right inventory levels and identifying optimization areas.
Provide one central point of contact for analysis in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders and delivery processes. Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize cost
- Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity
- Identify opportunities for inventory reductions
- Monitor, report and return overstock inventory and run excess and obsolescence process
- Collaborate with planning and marketing partners on product phaseout process
- Monitor and reconcile shipments receipts with the Distribution Centers in Europe and Americas
- Create, review and update standard operation procedure for the logistics area
- Submit Distribution Quality Complaints in the QC system
- Back up the purchasing group when needed
To perform this job successfully, an individual must learn and possess very good business understanding, be detail oriented, able to work both independently and with the team, and have excellent knowledge of data analysis, reporting and how to present analysis.
- Minimum a bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in supply chain and/or cost accounting/finance
- Experience in data analysis, structured and data-oriented mindset
- Excellent reporting skills
- Must possess a high level of initiative and drive towards results
- Able to work independently and thrives in a dynamic environment
- This position requires strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and PowerPoint is preferred
