What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Otis?
Seabury has an immediate opening for an experienced Line Cook. You will have demonstrated expertise as a main line chef in sauté, grill and plating fine cuisine all while adhering to sanitary methods in all phases of cooking. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follows recipe instructions for the preparation of menu items for delivery to healthcare units.
- Adheres to sanitation and safety requirements.
- Assists with pre-preparation of menu items.
- Ensures proper food service temperatures are maintained.
- Ensures proper stocks of fresh and frozen products as necessary.
- Ensures completion of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning task list and line closing functions.
- Pulls raw and dry products from storage as needed.
- Cleans line after meal service.
- Checks nightly that reach-in and walk-in is neat and clean, and items dated and labeled.
- Maintains pleasant appearance, courteous manner and good personal hygiene.
- Must complete all food safety and sanitation trainings as required; must follow proper protocol for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and required daily documentation, temperature logs, etc.
- Supports the mission and philosophy of Seabury and engages in all Seabury Standards.
