DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Attending 100% of all mandatory in-services.
- Completing all required training and continuing education.
- Completing all competency requirements.
- Completing physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients.
- Creating/updating/individualizing nursing care plans for assigned patients in collaboration with the patient, and their significant others utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach.
- Implementing and contributing to the Medical Plan of Care.
- Accurately transcribing and implementing physician orders.
- Documenting patients care and responses to care.
- Preparing and administering medications using the 10 rights:

- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changes in nursing practice.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate age appropriate nursing care per ORCH policy/procedure and by meeting regulatory expectations from the Joint Commission and Center for Medicare/Medicaid.
EDUCATION
- Graduate of a program of Registered Nursing
- Dysrhythmia course completed within 6 months of hire or pass written dysrhythmia competency within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Prefer prior experience in Telemetry or Progressive care nursing, but not required.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
- Current BCLS verification
- Progressive Care RN Certification preferred but not required
