Posting Close Date: 10/20/2023 Senior Mineral Lease and Contracts Analyst Location: The Woodlands, TX or Denver, CO The Ovintiv U.S. Operating Areas in the Rockies, Anadarko and Permian Basin are seeking a Senior Mineral Lease and Contracts Analyst to be part of the Lease Records team. Reporting to the Manager, Lease Records, you will be a key team member working closely with the area Land Negotiators, the Operations teams, Division Order team and Corporate Land Administration to support and maintain operations. Responsibilities Analyze, setup, and maintain Oil & Gas Leases, Mineral Deeds and Contracts in the Quorum Land System Examine Title Opinions and ownership reports to ensure data accuracy in QLS Review and circulate Payment, Obligation and Expiration calendars; monitor for completion/approvals Track and manage expirations, depth severances and extensions Prepare summary of lease deduct provisions for new wells as needed Review audit reports and perform peer audits to support data integrity Assist A&D activity by performing due diligence and preparing lease exhibits Build a strong rapport and provide lease and contract administration support to Land Negotiators, Operations Teams, Accounting and other internal and external stakeholders Mentor less experienced team members Execute on special projects as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar is preferred 8 or more years of industry experience in land administration or a related field Comprehensive lease records knowledge along with a sense of business acumen In-depth working knowledge of both Lease and Contracts Analyst roles Experience working in the Scoop, Stack, Uintah and Permian asset areas Demonstrated ability to adapt to an ever-changing fast-paced environment Capable of prioritizing and navigating a high-volume workload Proficient in executing on challenging assignments independently Ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation and teamwork Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to produce results with a high level of accuracy Self-starter and team player Quorum Land System experience a plus Must be legally entitled to work in the U.S. In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $130,000 Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
