SUMMARY OF POSITION:
OWCAP is seeking individuals who are ready to jump into this supervisory position, take initiative to lead and work at a fast pace. The Education Supervisor will help to achieve results aligned with the overall agency. This individual well have a sense of drive and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions. This job requires getting things done quickly and handling a variety of activities. Individual will be enthusiastic, firm and motivating. The Education Supervisor will focus on effective systems that motivate others to achieve results while have a high standard of achievement and success. The Education Supervisor will be a creative problem-solver, focus on innovation and building a rapport with others.
Their duties include overseeing the effective classroom operations of assigned sites to ensure compliance with program performance standards and other applicable regulations. Supervises Teachers and Teacher Assistants at assigned sites to ensure compliance with OWCAP policies and procedures. Establish and maintain relationships with partners at assigned sites.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with early childhood courses as determined by Head Start Act
- Four years’ experience in the aforementioned area
- Minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred; direct supervision responsibilities preferred
- CLASS Observer and Training Strategies Fidelity required post-hire
- All employees required to be fully vaccinated for COVID by January 2022
