Position Highlights
Owens is currently seeking a part-time Intake Specialist for our growing Medical Equipment division.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Register patients, verify insurance and demographics, calculate and collect payments while maintaining exemplary customer service and ensuring patient privacy.
- Contacted physicians’ offices to obtain clinical documentation needed to obtain authorizations from insurance companies.
- Performed needs assessments to determine eligibility for services and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance long-term care regulations.
- Inform new and reorder customer services to appropriate delivery staff - utilize GPS software solution.
- Monitor unconfirmed held sales.
- Management of new patient intake.
Minimum Education, Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Equipment billing experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent phone and computer skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and establish priorities
