The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Compliance Technician to join our team. The Compliance Technician is responsible for performing inspections and testing on underground storage tanks, dispensing equipment, and other components that monitor that system. Work is outdoors, primarily located at gas service stations, as well as commercial facilities and residential locations as well. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for setting up cones, cone bars, fire extinguishers and flags upon arrival at site
- Opening all lids, sump covers and dispenser doors upon site being prepared for testing
- Prepare equipment for testing purposes
Requirements and Skills
- Requires medical exam in accordance with DOT regulations
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- Understand general operations of fuel service station
- Ability to properly use hand tools, power tools and read analog gauges
- Able to lift 50-75 pounds
- Major responsibility will be driving a DOT certified commercial truck with weight of up 18,000 pounds. DOT physicals will be required every 2 years
- Drug/ Alcohol screening will be performed upon hiring, randomly and after an injury on the job
