What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Oxford Area Neighborhood Services Center?
This position is responsible to the Executive Director and Program Director in performance of duties and needs to be aware of the importance of confidentiality within the building and in public. The Receptionist position is a critical position in enabling the Neighborhood Services Center to communicate with the public by telephone or in person and in facilitating communication among NSC staff and the staff of other agencies within the building. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, position. This position is a bilingual (Spanish and English) position.
Tasks include:
- Answer the telephone or greet people as they walk-in, give factual information, link people with appropriate NSC staff person or worker from another agency * Document appropriately all contacts with or on behalf of people who call or come into the office
- Assist with keeping the office presentable
- Coordinate/Schedule first floor shared office space and meeting rooms
- Organize and schedule appointments for services offered at the Center including: Chester County Health Department Flu Shots, Operation Warm coat distribution, AARP Tax Preparation, American Cancer Society Wig Distribution * Order office and building supplies as instructed
- Keep printed material on display or accessible to staff, volunteers, clients
- Assist with the reproduction of reports, forms, other materials as well as helping clients to secure copies of paperwork or to send a FAX
- Enter data on the computer
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Program Director
