JOB SUMMARY:
The Estimator will assist with providing accurate cost budgets and estimates. This position will provide support to the Construction Management team for Yellowstone.
JOB DUTIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responsible for assisting project teams in maintaining and organizing construction project files, building plans, and systems.
2. Support Construction Manager with pre-construction activities, including the following:
a. Assist project team with permitting process.
i. Pay for and pick up permits.
ii. Schedule inspections.
b. Perform site visits with design team.
c. Coordinate vendor bidding and contracts.
d. Assist project team with administrative tasks.
3. Support Pre-Construction and estimating activities, including the following:
a. Attend pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs to determine scope.
b. Organize pre-bid meetings with sub-contractors.
c. Perform quantitative take-offs.
d. Assist in maintaining unit cost databases.
e. Gather, calculate, and compile data for use in conceptual estimates.
f. Help to maintain current information on supplier and contractor pricing.
g. Assist with bidding activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction and 3 years of experience in pre-construction and estimating, or equivalent.
2. Desire to learn and develop skillsets in construction and related processes.
3. Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and scheduling software.
6. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage; ability to provide own transportation.
7. Perform all job duties with an energetic, positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
