Requisition Summary
Are you ready to make a direct impact in helping to shape our future? In this vital role, you will help facilitate the Technical Publications across our Peterbilt product portfolio. You will manage and coordinate service publications planning and execution as we adopt the Empolis Content Lifecycle System (CLS) and an internal Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) system. You will assist in the establishment and adherence to the internal stylesheet(s). The Content Strategy Manager is responsible for a content strategy that conforms to and sets out to achieve business goals, especially supporting both our customers and field teams.
Job Functions/ Responsibilities:
Training and leading Technical Content Authors as they’re onboarded to support the RMI program- Create and maintain editorial taxonomies and content migration plans
- Understand the full customer journey to define and create best practices for ensuring content is consistent, accessible, understandable, actionable, and engaging across touchpoints and channels
- Work cross-divisionally and cross-functionally throughout the RMI program design, validation, and implementation phases, as well as post-program launch to maintain best business practices and continuous process improvements
- Partner directly with our Publications Managers to ensure all required material is properly structured and published through our CLS and Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) systems Actively ensure our transition from Ixiasoft CMS to Empolis CLS is as streamlined as possible
- Coordinate with a global team to successfully launch our RMI program, including active workshop engagement and attendance as needed
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for a professional with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Knowledge and experience in CMS/CLS (Content Management/Lifecycle Systems), Smartsheet, XML, and HTML- Minimum 3 years’ experience in taxonomy and publication structure
- Experience in content migration
- Technical aptitude and ability to succinctly communicate complicated topics
- Perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail and time management skills
- MS Office, Adobe Suite, and Sharepoint experience
- Interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Continuous improvement and learning to support the evolution of our department
- Motivated to provide high quality technical documentation for customers and dealers
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Bachelor's degree in technical publications, business, or engineering, or a related subject- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the trucking or automotive industry
- Understanding of industry standards that directly impact technical publications
- Experience or training in Six Sigma
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel up to 30%, domestic and international
