Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company (Denton, TX) is looking for an experienced technology leader with a strong background in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). An ideal candidate is a person who understands how engineering software tools pertain to business processes. This position will guide the implementation of engineering systems initiatives including analysis, design & development, training, and adoption.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Lead Computer Aided Design system projects including configuration and implementation of Creo product technologies, processes, and procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct CAD and PLM application training classes and promote online individualized training.
- Provide on-going support and consultation for users of Windchill PDMLink, Creo Parametric, Creo View, and other engineering applications across multiple PACCAR divisions.
- Provide ongoing support of engineering processes, such as part analysis, change management, and supplier collaboration.
- Plan and implement CAD application upgrade projects and process improvements to benefit users, and coordinate solutions with other PACCAR divisions.
Additional Responsibilites
- Manage, create, and maintain application procedures to ensure appropriate and efficient use of technologies.
- Facilitate and coordinate commonization of CAD and PLM practices between Peterbilt and other PACCAR divisions.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in Windchill and Creo functions, features, and business requirements.
- Define and enforce Creo Parametric modeling and drawing practices to ensure consistency and user-efficiency.
- Manage the Peterbilt engineering onboarding training process.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of technical background with the PTC Creo family of products (Creo Parametric, Creo View, Creo Simulate, etc.) and Windchill support including preparing and conducting training classes required.
- Excellent large group presentation skills, successful track record of teamwork, and proven analytical skills required.
- Ability to lead process improvement projects and technical application implementations to meet the needs of a large user base required.
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Creo Simulate, and Creo Simulate Live, Altair Inspire and Hypermesh/Hyperworks, and Abaqus is desired.
- Experience with product design, drawing requirements, release procedures, and applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards is desired.
- Experience with Agile processes, Lean concepts, and 6-Sigma tools is desired.
- SharePoint Online design and workflow development experience is a plus.
- Coding skills in C , C#, Java, or other languages is a plus.
- Experience with Siemens Capital E/E software is a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or related field required.
