PACCAR WINCH Inc is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR. PACCAR Winch Inc manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists, and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets. We have locations in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer in the Okmulgee Plant.

JOB SUMMARY

Evaluates, recommends, and implements improvements in the areas of facilities, production processes, production efficiencies and other areas of manufacturing costs, which support the objectives outlined by Supervision.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work as a liaison between production and engineering.
  • Prepares and implements complex plant layout changes and studies of plant arrangements and manufacturing operations using Lean Tools and appropriate safety considerations.
  • Performs time and work sequence studies and recommends adjustments to manufacturing operations.
  • Develops procedures and plant arrangements to insure proper material handling and storage.
  • Assists in the training and development of Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and other production associates.
  • Determines manufacturing processes required.
  • Assists in manpower planning, develops standard operations times, and conducts various cost studies.
  • Prepares and implements Capital Budget items.
  • Designs and implements shop aids and fixtures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • May assist in design and layout of facility structural improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 5 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to draw 2D objects in AutoCAD at a minimum.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex production engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability gained through two (2) to three (3) years in related assignments, preferably possessing a minimum of two (2) years with PACCAR.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with CAD/CAM systems and PC applications.
  • Green Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of paint systems and Paint equipment.
  • Knowledge of lifting device requirements and record retention.
  • PLC programming and design.
  • Leak detection experience

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
