OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is vital in providing financial leadership and aligning business and finance strategy to drive business development. The CFO will navigate Pacific Catch’s growth in new markets, manage risk, provide objective counsel, and bring analytical rigor to strategic choices. This officer will also manage Pacific Catch’s finance function including treasury, financial reporting, accounting, cash flow management, financial modeling, and developing financial systems to improve profitability.
Pacific Catch is a modern, comfortable, Westcoast Fish House where friends and family gather to enjoy fresh seafood inspired by preparations and ingredients from the Pacific. Since 2003 we have built Pacific Catch as a great place work and an even better one to dine.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF CFO
Leadership:
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the courage to propose new directions for the strategy execution in an environment where the next few years will see high growth in the business
- Hires, trains and retains a top-notch financial team capable of scaling the company to a much greater size
- Takes a leadership role in establishing a three to five-year financial plan supporting the overall strategic plan
- Demonstrated strong desire and ability to work directly with operations to implement, maintain, and utilize a back-office system to provide operators, other executives, and investors with highest quality metrics management and information
- Strong presentation skills in one-on-one executive briefings and large audience settings
Strategic
- Demonstrated excellence in implementing rigorous and disciplined financial controls, financial management systems, and performance measures / metrics that benchmark performance and create accountability
- Vision and ability to steer the strategy with the management team to stay ahead of shifts in the market, yet able to analyze and address financial aspects of current tactics
- Experience acting as a forward-thinking analyst of markets and the competitive landscape
- Extensive experience providing high-quality metrics around planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Partners with the management team by fully understanding the business, but bringing a deeper analytical and financial ability to the leadership team in order to further improve the strategy and the tactics to execute on the strategy

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET
- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or other related field
- CPA and/or an MBA are highly desirable
- Restaurant or Hospitality experience desirable
- Eight plus years’ experience in a financial management role and multiple years in a CFO role
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong excel and power point skills
- Experience implementing new systems in a fast-growing company
- Strong experience leading a team, building out accounting processes and controls
