Salary Range: $200-250/day

Job Summary

Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a Full-Time Non-CDL Driver. As a Relief Driver, you will report in every day and will fill in for any call-outs. If you are not needed on a route that night, you are responsible for helping to load and unload any freight. This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, and delivery of shipments within a 200-mile radius of Portland.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to work NIGHT SHIFT 9:00pm - 6:00am.
• Touch freight – must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
• Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
• Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
• Drive a non-CDL vehicle – 26ft box trucks.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirm customer orders.
• Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Valid, active Class C Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
• 2-years of Non-CDL Driving Experience.
• Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
• As a non-CDL Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
