What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Masters RA - Chemist position at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory?
The mission of the Signature Science and Technology Division is to discover the science, develop the technology, and drive operations to counter emerging national security threats.
We help the nation maintain U.S. Supremacy in detecting adversaries by building new capabilities that combine measurement and analysis, and by channeling our long-standing programs towards the detection and forensic analysis of weapons proliferation.
We help the nation deter and counter the use of weapons of mass destruction. We house a deep understanding of the nonproliferation landscape that builds on a long history of providing technical support to international treaties. We also support the nation’s nuclear deterrent by developing production methods for strategic materials.
We help the nation develop science and technology for a radically different conflict landscape. We use our deep measurement capabilities that combine measurement with theory and data analytics to move signature detection toward mission relevant speed—a speed that requires automation and produces near-real-time analysis.
