Responsible for operating a variety of equipment for properly handling, preparing, and processing recycling materials per customer and mill specifications.
KEY RESULTS:
- Efficiently and safely operates equipment such as shear, scrap handler, excavator, baler loader, forklift etc. to process materials to consistently produce a quality product by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Keeps equipment in “like new” condition by regular inspections, proper maintenance, and timely repair as required.
- Produces accurate, timely, and legible paperwork.
- Daily demonstrates commitment to be present and work all hours assigned as needed to complete work orders.
- Willingly performs and completes any work assigned in an efficient, safe and productive manner.
- Cooperates with employees, customers, suppliers and others with honesty, integrity and respectful manner.
- Willingly complies with all regulatory requirements, including federal, state, local, company and customer statutes or rules.
- Effectively communicates with management and co-workers.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Minimizes waste.
- Manages time efficiently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and maximum of 100 pounds occasionally, pushing and pulling up to 80 pounds, gripping, squatting, bending, climbing, standing, kneeling, reaching, and crawling.
Ability to work in hot or cold weather conditions with moderate levels of noise.
Must have good vision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years experience as an operator.
Sustained high degree of attention and care to prevent injury to self and others.
Ability to perform math calculations.
Good work ethic, with high honesty and integrity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
