Responsibilities
Responsible for safely and efficiently operating cranes ranging from 15 ton to 150 ton capacity. This includes both friction link belt crawler and Lima truck mounted cranes, and Grove hydraulic rough terrain crane.
Must be able to safely rig loads and instruct other people in correct rigging. All work will be performed in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements to keep the equipment at an acceptable availability and reliability for the surface coal mine to meet its budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity and environmental commitments.
Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED or proof of equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of crane operation / rigging experience.
- Qualified on friction cranes.
- Must successfully pass written test and practical test.
- Certified as a crane operator is highly preferred.
- Certified as a rigger is highly preferred.
