Responsibilities
- Acquires the skills to become a Journeyman Hydro Maintenance Operator.
- Ensure the plant is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
- Operate all plant auxiliary equipment, while providing limited maintenance support.
- Provide support to the JHMO
- Provide support to maintenance personnel.
- Develop tag-outs and isolate equipment associated with those tag-outs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

- Must have passed NJATC with 4 or better
- High School Diploma or GED minimum.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Power Plant Fundamentals test.
- Approved member of the IBEW apprenticeship pool.
- Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within 6 months.
